I've been very busy getting ready for another consignment sale this weekend. Drop off is tomorrow, so I've been in a flurry of pricing, tagging, hangers, safety pins, bins - ack!
Hope to have a real post tomorrow, if time allows... I feel like I've been so busy lately. Blogging has really taken a backseat to real life.
I know the feeling - I just did my first one - made $550!! But the week before was CRAZY!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Nice! I don't think I have enough consigned to make that much. My very first sale, I made over $300. I'm looking forward to yard sale season this summer, so I can pick up clothes all summer long to consign next year.
DeleteI totally understand. Consignment sales can consume your life! I just finished one where I worked 16 hours to get 100% of my sales. I am still tired.
ReplyDeleteOh my! This is my 3rd consignment sale. I haven't volunteered at any before. I originally signed up for a 3 hour shift at this one, but when I dropped my stuff of this morning, I ended up extending that to a 9-hour shift. I'll get 70% of my sales, but I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into. If nothing else, it'll be a day in a fun environment without my kids :) (I love my kids dearly, but time with other adults is always cherished!)
DeleteI was dreading volunteering, but I actually had a great time! I saw about 10 people I knew and felt like I was really in my element helping people with baby/kid stuff. I even taught a grandma how to collapse a pack & play lol! At this sale if you volunteer for a 4 hour shift you got to keep 70%....Have fun on Sunday!
